Portfolio: Prior Works

Introduction

Portfolio The portfolio section includes most of the work I did in the past as a showcase to help you decide if my style and competences fits with the needs of your project. This section is divided in the following categories:

Active Web Sites

Active Web Sites

Past web sites that are still online.

Inactive Web Sites

Inactive Web Sites

Past web sites that are not online anymore, for various reasons. Some projects may have been dropped by clients for personal reasons, or the cause and company promoted by the site are no more. Most of these are rather old.

web applications

Web Applications

Web applications aren't sites on their own but online softwares, based on programming language such as Javascript / PHP / MySQL,with advanced functionnalities and features that meet specific needs for a client and may, or may not be, available to the general public. Others are integral part of a public web site and deserve mentionning.

logo

Logos

Here you will find various graphical logos for companies, sites or products. Logos have specific requirements that differenciate them from other various graphics: They must be general purpose and are therefore fundamentally streamlined. A logo must be built with vectorial applications such as Adobe Illustrator so that the original file might be used on such various things as large posters, coffe cups, t-shirts, web banners, etc. The number of colors must also be reduced to a low number for affordable prints.

illustration

Illustrations

Illustrations of all kinds that have been used in various projects, softwares, presentation pages, books, diagrams, etc.

interface

Interfaces

An interface is the graphical layer of a software that allows user friendly interaction with its functionnalities. Here you will find various GUI (graphical user interface), buttons, icons, that are part of a commercial product.

flash

Flash

Macromedia Flash is an often used tool on the web or multimedia CDs to create fluid, interactive animations that are small enough to download. My experience with this creative tool is still somewhat rudimentary, choosing instead to concentrate more on HTML/Javascript/PHP/MySQL programming that are standard and compliant to the web, and optimized for search engines. But a judiciously well placed animation here and there can improve the graphical appearance, layout or presentation page for an overall positive effect. We must, however, chose this solution sparingly because it can annoy recurring visitors.
